In the October 7 attacks on Israeli kibbutzim and towns and the Nova Festival, women and girls were raped, raped and mutilated. The freed abductees revealed that rape and violence continued and continued even in the months of captivity in Gaza.
Despite the indisputable evidence, these atrocities have not been considered by international groups and organizations dedicated to human rights. Many prominent political, academic, and media figures have tried to downplay or even deny that they ever happened. In Screams Before Silence, a 60-minute documentary, Sheryl Sandberg, former COO of Meta and founder of Leanln.org, interviews several witnesses, freed abductees, first responders, forensic medicine experts and survivors of the Hamas massacre.
